Eye Microsurgery & Kontur Ltd. (MG&K) is a specialized enterprise manufacturing sterile surgical suture material with atraumatic needles for use in various fields of surgery. The enterprise was founded in 1997 on the areas of the defensive complex plant "Kontur" with the participation of MNTK "Eye Microsurgery" and an outstanding ophthalmologist, academician S. N. Fyodorov. Our enterprise is situated in Cheboksary , the capital of Chuvash Rebublic, this is in the Volgo-Vyatsky region of the Russian Federation . From the foundation our enterprise manufactures suture materials for the needs of ophthalmologists and during these years the personnel has gained a great experience. Accurate technology, original form of the ophthalmic needles, qualitative filament from the best manufacturers, large assortment- all these factors have made MG&K suture materials to become professional

The main lines of activity are:

• Producing and selling sterile surgical suture material.
• Producing and selling sterile acupuncture needles (reflex therapy).
• Producing and selling o phthalmologic cannulas for aspiration and irrigation.
• Producing and selling pileless s orption material for wound handling "Tupfer-Kontur".
• Decorative and strengthening coatings on metal surfaces by means of vacuum-plasma spattering.

Eye Microsurgery & Kontur Ltd. is an enterprise with a dynamic pace of development. From 2000 to 2005 the producing and selling volume has increased by more than 4 times. In 2003 we were granted the Award "Leader in the Regional Economy" of the International Academy of Real Economy as the innovator in producing medical instrumentation. Our achievements are noted by a governmental award of Chuvash Republic. Our company gives special attention to producing instruments for eye operations. We mastered manufacture of all types of suture material with atraumatic needles for the whole spectrum of the ophthalmology and general surgery.

MG&K has a wide area of deliveries including many regions of Russia and CIS states ( Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belorussia, Uzbekistan, Moldova ). At present our products are used in more than 300 health care institutions including 8 branches of the Interbranch scientific-technical complex (MNTK) "Eye Microsurgery".

We also deliver to foreign countres such as: Argentina, Poland, Turkey and China. Lately not only ophthalmologists, but surgeons of all specializations use the suture material of MG&K helping people to recover their health.
